FAQ

1. What made you decide to have a camp wedding?

We both have a special connection to our respective sleep away camps; CYJ for Naomi and Eisner for Avi. We know that camp will provide us with the perfect setting for our wedding where our friends and family can spend the whole weekend together.

2. What airport should I fly into and how do I get to camp?

We recommend flying into either Austin's Bergstrom Airport (AUS) or San Antonio International Airport (SAT). From there you can rent a car for the drive to camp or we can try to help coordinate a ride for you.

3. I play a musical instrument?

We are jealous that you've taken time to hone your craft. There will be many opportunities for you to show off your talents and we would be honored/delighted to hear you play. Whether at the campfire, or leading an impromptu song at mealtime, please bring your instruments (and voices!).

4. Will there be cell coverage and wi-fi?

Instagram works at CYJ. #GottBurrito

5. Can I smoke at CYJ?

Smoking is prohibited inside any structure at Camp Young Judea, but is permitted outside.

6. What if I can only join for part of the festivities?

Not a problem at all! Please just let us know the times you plan to be present so we can get an accurate headcount for meals

7. CYJ sounds like great fun for my dog, cat, and hamster can they come?

Sorry, no pets allowed. We'll be missing our pups too.

8. Will I be fed?

Have Avi, Debbie, or Peppy ever let you go hungry? We have been putting together an exciting menu for the weekend. We will provide dinner Friday night, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. Snacks and other goodies too! Trust us, you won't be hungry.

9. I've been invited to stay at CYJ, how do room assignment work?

Much like table seating arrangements, we strategically arrange people within rooms and cabins. We want you to be as comfortable as possible and we will do our utmost to keep you in a room with your spouse, family, friends, or new friends that you are certain to love.
